Amy Stamm
Amy
started December 15, 2008, and therefore is the newest member
of the Church Staff. She was born in
Belleville, Kansas, and
moved to
Salina
shortly thereafter. She
graduated from Salina South
High School in 1990, and then from Kansas
University
(the good school!) in 1994, with a Bachelor in General Sciences. She
majored in Psychology and Human Development and Family Life. She
and Matt were married one month after college graduation and
then she moved to Smolan, Kansas with him.
Yes, Smolan is on the map!
Kennedy was born in 1998 and Kyle was born in 2000.
They lived there ten years until her job transferred them to
Wichita.
They moved to Valley Center
in 2004. After working for
Roadway Express for 14 years, she decided to quit and begin working
at the church. "I believe
the job came available at just the right time for us and I am so
glad that it did!" In her
“spare time” she is a Girl Scout Troop Leader, serves on the AYSO
(soccer) board, teaches Kids of the Kingdom on Wednesday nights, and
helps at the schools.
You might also like to know that Amy won first prize at the 2009 First United
Methodist–Valley Center Chili Cook-Off, and in high school she
belonged to New Dawn, a singing and dancing group, and she performed
at Carnegie Hall.
