Building Description

FUMCVC may be entered by five different entryway doors.

1 & 2:  The Northeast and Northwest sanctuary entryways.

3:  The Silver door off the East Parking Lot

4 & 5: The Southeast and Southwest WCC entryway doors.

Building Layout

The Sanctuary

The Sanctuary (primary worship center) sits at the North end of the building (closest to 5th street) and may be most quickly entered through the NE and NW sanctuary doors.  Once inside the building, the East Sanctuary door enters at the back of the sanctuary; the west sanctuary entrance opens to the front of the sanctuary.

Fellowship Hall

Fellowship Hall sits directly under the Sanctuary and may be accessed most directly through the NE entrance.

The WCC

The Wesley Celebration Center (WCC) sits at the South end of the building.  It is the large all-purpose room, and it is used for many purposes.  The quickest way to enter the WCC from parking areas is through the Southeast double doors off the East parking lot or the Southwest double doors off of Park Street on the West.

The Fireside Room, Offices, and Chapel

The Fireside Room, the offices, and the Chapel are all located in the center of the building and may be accessed most directly through the Silver Door off the East parking lot (on Meridian and 5th (also 85th)).

Stairs

When you enter the Northeast entry or the Silver door entry, you will encounter stairs immediately and may go up three steps or down several to the basement.

To Avoid Stairs

Enter the Northwest entryway off Park Street, or either of the WCC entry doors.  There is a long indoor ramp just inside the West WCC entry that rises from the WCC level to the Sanctuary level.

Elevator

An elevator is located close to the center of the building just outside the Fireside Room/Chapel.

Basement

The basement may be entered most easily through the NE entrance or the Silver Door entrance, both off of the East parking lot.  Simply follow the stairs down at either entrance.  The NE staircase provides a chair lift for access to the basement.

Restrooms

Restrooms are located at the NE sanctuary entrance, across the hall from the Fireside Room and Chapel, and in the WCC.  The basement restrooms are located to the left at the bottom of the NE entrance stairway across from the Fellowship Hall.
